With Kris Jenkins hitting a buzzer-beating three-pointer to win the national title for Villanova, the Fidelity Communications Pick-It March Mania concluded Monday night with Niki Edwards of Salem, MO atop the leaderboard.
Out of nearly 100 participants, Edwards earned the most points in the contest with 810 and was awarded her choice of a $100 Fidelity bill credit or a $75 Amazon gift card. Amanda Huston came in second place with 780 points and received her choice of a $75 Fidelity credit or a $40 Amazon gift card.
Third place was decided by a tiebreaker based on the final score of the title game. Mike DeGraw was closer to the 77-74 final score to capture third place and his choice of a $50 Fidelity credit or $25 Amazon gift card, edging out Russell Deckard. Both had 760 points.
Contest participants were invited to pick who they predicted to win the NCAA men’s college basketball championship tournament games and earned points for each game they picked correctly. The contest was conducted online and sponsored by Fidelity Communications.
"Contest was a lot of fun for the participants," said Fidelity March Mania coordinator Theresa McKinney. "With all the upsets and wild finishes, many people had their brackets busted, especially in the first two rounds. The contest leaderboard was all over the place the whole tournament. It was exciting."
