Lebanon Lineup Sees Addition Of More HD, PBS Channels
Fidelity Cablevision is adding six new HD channels—and a new PBS channel—at no extra cost to its Lebanon customers.
Effective May 3, the new HDs are available on Fidelity's HD Basic Tier at no charge to HD/DVR subscribers. Fidelity now offers 52 HD channels in Lebanon.
The latest high-def additions are Nick HD on Channel 435, MTV HD on Channel 447, Spike HD on Channel 442, Comedy Central HD on Channel 434, CMT HD on Channel 466 and VH-1 HD on Channel 448.
These channels are the HD versions of popular channels also available in standard definition elsewhere in the lineup.
Digital customers also are seeing the addition of PBS Create on Channel 160. More often called "do-it-yourself," the program genres seen on PBS Create TV include viewers' favorite public television series and specials on cooking, travel, arts and crafts, gardening, home improvement and other lifestyle interests.
The programs seen on Create TV come from American Public Television, The National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).
"We continue to add more and more HD channels as they become available. We are also excited about the new PBS channel. A number of our customers have been requesting it," said Andy Davis, cable product manager.
The PBS channel is available to customers with digital service. In addition, if they have an HDTV with a built-in QAM tuner, they can view it on Channel 103-5 without a digital box.
