Fidelity Communications Hosts Back to School Clothing Drive
July 30, 2018 – Fidelity Communications is making the most of Back to School season by hosting a clothing drive that will run from July 30th to August 24th. This donation drive will help ensure that underprivileged students can start out their school year on level ground with their peers.
“We believe in the power of our communities to lift each other up, and nobody deserves a boost more than our students,” said Fidelity Communication's Director of Marketing, Danica LaFaire. “Our team members remember the joy of picking out new clothes, shoes, and jackets at the start of each school year, and we think that every student should get the same chance to start things off on the right foot.”
During the drive, employees, customers, and other community members are encouraged to drop off donations in the collection boxes that will be placed at local Fidelity offices—only new clothing can be accepted. At the end of the clothing drive, Fidelity will deliver each donation box to the local school district, which will then distribute the donated clothing to students in need. A list of participating school districts can be found below.
“For many of these students, this drive will allow them to replace clothing that they have outgrown, or worn out. We want to help our schools support these kids so that they can feel excited and comfortable to start the new school year,” LaFaire said.
The list of requested clothing items class="">includes:shirts, shorts, jeans, sweatpants, socks, underwear, shoes, & jackets. Sizes requested are: Youth sizes S-XL, Adult sizes XS-XL. All donations must be brand new, no hand-me-downs or gently used clothing will be accepted.
