Ken Egnor Retires from Fidelity Communications After 18 Years

January 4, 2019 – Beginning in January, Ken Egnor will change his daily routine. He is retiring from Fidelity Communications after spending the 18 years in the communications industry as a technician on the Installation & Repair team.  

Ken has seen many changes in his years in the communications industry.  When he began, he was installing and troubleshooting cable TV. As the industry advanced, so did Ken's skills.  He began installing internet via cable modem, monitoring the plant for potential upgrades, and lastly, connecting homes and businesses with telephone services.  Today, as Fidelity Lead System Technician, he works with both coax and fiber to set customers up with TV, internet and phone services. 

Fidelity provided Ken with many opportunities. He will never forget “the day Mark Head came, in person, when we lost our supervisor, he put me in charge until a replacement was found,” remembers Ken. “The fact that he had faith in me to do the job was a great feeling.”

Fidelity Communications is honored to celebrate the retirement and 18 years of service and accomplishments with Ken. His expertise in the field will be greatly missed, but the company is thankful for the knowledge he has passed on to others in the company. “Ken's commitment, dedication, and teamwork will be missed,” states Jason Radford, Technical Operations manager. “He was always looking out for the customer.”

Ken and his wife of 30 years currently live in Nevada. They have been blessed with three grandchildren from his two sons. He volunteers his time with Wreaths Across America and Relay for Life. Although he is very proud of his family and community, he plans to relax and do more fishing. As Ken says, “one chapter ends and another one starts.”
