Fidelity names Don Knight to head Missouri systems

SULLIVAN, MISSOURI, July 25, 2014—Product Manager Don Knight has been promoted to General Manager of Fidelity Communications' Missouri systems, the company has announced.

Knight is one of three general managers Fidelity Communications recently named to consolidate its markets in Missouri, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana under the leadership of a dedicated manager in each state. In his new role, Don will be responsible for Sullivan, Gerald, New Haven, Owensville, Rolla, Lebanon, Salem, Nevada, El Dorado Springs, Harrisonville, West Plains, and Thayer, MO, and Hardy, AR.

"Fidelity has customers scattered across east-central, southern and western Missouri," he said. "I want to make sure all our employees are working together to create a superior support system for our customers, and to ensure all of our products and services are competitively priced."

Knight's goals include a renewed emphasis on "exceptional customer care" and high-quality installations done in a shorter time frame with fewer trouble tickets. "I was interested in the job because of the challenges," he said, which involve managing 85 Construction, Customer Care and Installation & Repair employees after spending 15 years in the Marketing department. "But I'm getting accustomed to the daily tasks and the personnel involved," he said. "It's very exciting."

Don and his wife, Jan, are lifelong residents of the Sullivan area. He graduated from Bourbon High School and attended East Central College in Union, MO. Prior to Fidelity, Don held various positions, including management in retail.

He joined Fidelity in 1999 as Long Distance Product Manager and launched Long Distance service in Fidelity's original markets in Sullivan, Gerald, New Haven and Owensville. He was later promoted to Senior Product Manager, and most recently was named Senior Product Manager of Broadband and Telecom Services.

"Don brings a depth of experience in both telephony and cable services," said Executive General Manager Andy Davis. "As we continue to grow into new areas and provide new technologies and services, it's important to have a dedicated manager in each state. These new managers are solely committed to making sure we are taking great care of our customers and providing the highest level of customer support."
