Fidelity To Host Grand Re-Opening of Marshall Office
MARSHALL, TX, June 7, 2013—Fidelity Communications is inviting the public to help celebrate the grand re-opening of its newly-remodeled Marshall office on Saturday, June 22.
The free event will feature Manny Puig, host of Savage Wild on the Outdoor Channel, as a special guest. KMHT Radio in Marshall will have a live remote from 1 to 3 p.m. The Grand Re-Opening starts at 11 a.m. and will include lunch and a chance to register for a $250 Bass Pro Shops gift card and other prizes.
The Marshall office received a major upgrade this spring, including a new front counter, bright colors, new signage, floor, ceiling and lobby chairs. The walls were all painted bright green and blue, and TVs display Fidelity’s HD service and commercials simultaneously. An iPad allows customers to test the 50 Meg Internet service. The floor, which used to be plain concrete, now features a wood grain finish. New customer service representative cubicles have been added and that area of the office remodeled. The suspended ceiling is all new with new lighting and heat/air ducts.
Special guest Manny Puig is known for his appearances as the long-haired educator, expert, and voice of reason for many Jackass stunts involving wild animals in both television and movies. In addition to currently hosting Outdoor Channel’s Savage Wild, the Cuban-born Puig has also been featured in the popular MTV series Wildboyz, countless appearances in many documentaries, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
Puig advocates a basic approach to wildlife and denounces the use of safety gear such as cages, protective clothing and diving apparatus. He has appeared on the television program Jackass and in all three Jackass movies. One of Puig's stunts is featured in the second film, where he dives around hammerheads and other dangerous sharks.
Savage Wild takes place in the Florida Everglades and features stunts ranging from Manny hunting a wild boar with only a rudimentary spear to handling highly venomous wild snakes, such as water moccasins, and sneaking up to grab alligators in their natural environment.
A Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting is scheduled for the previous day, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 21. Fidelity will be providing snacks and drinks for anyone attending.
