System News
In normal computer systems, equipment sometimes breaks, and often needs to be upgraded. And the Internet is anything but normal. Even the highest quality equipment from the best manufacturers may react unpredictably when placed in a continuously changing environment such as today's Internet. We're constantly adjusting hundreds of integrated parts to keep our network on top, and to keep it working smoothly with everyone else's equipment.
Outages and upgrades are a fact of life for any ISP, no matter how large. The changes below are not a sign of a poor or unstable network, but of a large dynamic network of which we're very proud. This page is a part of our commitment to honesty and fairness towards our customers. If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail them to webmaster@fidnet.com.
We've added this page to our web site to inform our customers of the latest upgrades to our system, report any problems that many customers are experiencing, and to make our customers aware of any scheduled down-time. Please visit this page regularly to stay informed of the latest changes to our network.
