Fidelity Communications will carry the hottest rivalry in Arkansas high school football, the Salt Bowl, tape-delayed on Fidelity Local 6 this weekend.
The 2016 Salt Bowl will be played this Friday night, September 2, at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. Attendance at the game is traditionally the highest at any high school game in Arkansas.
Fidelity Local 6 will replay the game at 7 p.m. Saturday and again on Sunday at 7 p.m. Digital customers can see it in HD on Channel 406.
The Saturday replay includes pre- and postgame Benton coverage produced in partnership with the Fox Sports Arkansas radio station. Sunday’s replay will feature Bryant announcers and some different camera angles.
“Both teams have new head coaches this year so it’s kind of anybody’s game,” said Fidelity Local 6 Video Production Manager Matt Johnson. “It’s a new year, a new look for both teams. Local 6 is proud to be the only place in Saline County you can catch the Salt Bowl and all the Benton and Bryant football games this year.”
On Salt Bowl game day, the public is invited to the Academy Sports and Outdoors’ Tailgate Party beginning at 4 p.m. on the east side of War Memorial Stadium, featuring over 50 vendors.
Fidelity's booth will feature a DJ, free Salt Bowl t-shirts, games and prizes from 2 p.m. to kickoff. Anyone visiting the booth during the tailgate party can pick up a free ticket for a drawing for an Xbox to be given away at halftime. Tickets will also be distributed in the stands.
