Fidelity is pleased to announce that Fidelity's Caller ID will now automatically alert subscribers to robocalls, spam, and fraudulent calls before you pick up the phone.
When your Fidelity phone service detects a robocall, telemarketer or fraudulent call, you will see "Spam?" or "Fraudulent Call" on your Caller ID display. This gives you the power to decide whether or not to answer the call.
The only numbers that are blocked are illegal robocallers, spammers and telemarketers; doctor's offices, prescription reminders, school closings, weather advisories, etc, will still be verified. If by some chance you would have a legitimate call blocked, please contact Fidelity's Customer Support so that we can "white list" the requested number and prevent it from being blocked in future.
Very rarely, a robocaller or a telemarketer may slip through. Just like spam, these groups keep changing their tactics in order to evade blocking. If you receive a robocall, or if you receive a call marked as spam that was actually a valid call, please fill out the robocall tagging correction form and report the number(s) so that it adjust our database accordingly.
This new feature is available to Fidelity phone customers with Caller ID at no extra cost. If Caller ID is not included with your phone service, please contact Fidelity at 800-392-8070 for more information.
