Fidelity Awards $7,500 for STEM Education Through ‘Dream Bigger’ Campaign
Three winners will each receive $2,500 to support K-12 science, technology, engineering, and math projects
April 26, 2023 – Phoenix, Arizona – Fidelity Communications today announced the winners of its fifth annual “Dream Bigger” social media campaign, awarding $2,500 each to three schools and organizations providing STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education to K-12 students.
Contestants submitted a written entry outlining how the award would be used to fund their STEM projects, and how the projects benefit students. Determined by public voting, the winners of the $2,500 awards are:
- El Dorado Springs Middle School – El Dorado Springs, Missouri
El Dorado Springs Middle School has an outdoor classroom its science teachers use to provide students with hands-on engineering, research, technology, and math projects intended to strengthen collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The award will help provide necessary equipment and supplies.
- Lebanon High School Science Research Class – Lebanon, Missouri
The program at Lebanon High School provides students with the opportunity to drive their own scientific research projects, which develops valuable skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and communication. The award will help provide necessary equipment and supplies.
- One Room Schoolhouse – Marshall, Texas
The award will help One Room Schoolhouse purchase supplies needed to help teach STEM skills through a variety of projects that include building, gardening, math workshops, science classes and life skills instruction.
