Fidelity Communications Awards $3,200 Grant to Lawton Family YMCA

February 11, 2022 –Lawton, OKFidelity Communications, a member of the Cable One family of brands, recently awarded a $3,200 grant to Lawton Family YMCA through the company’s Charitable Giving Fund. Through this program, the company awarded more than $100,000 in grants during the winter of 2021 to 32 nonprofit organizations across its 24-state footprint.

Lawton Family YMCA, which provides a variety of programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all, received the grant from Fidelity to replace a commercial refrigerator to continue to use and store food for its youth camp participants in the summer.

"Each summer we serve more than 11,000 kids in our youth camps and to support our focus of youth development and that no child should go hungry, we provide meals and snacks throughout the day to our campers," said Frank Walker, Lawton Family YMCA CEO. "Thanks to the funding from this grant, we're able to purchase a new commercial refrigerator and continue to do what we can to fight childhood hunger in the Lawton community."

The Charitable Giving Fund annually awards more than $200,000 in grants to local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations served by Fidelity and the other Cable One family of brands (Sparklight®, ValuNet Fiber, and Hargray), and concentrates support in the following priority areas:

Nonprofit organizations will have the opportunity to apply for a grant during open application periods each spring and fall. Applications for spring 2022 grants will open between April 1 -30, 2022.
