Fidelity Investing $2.5 million to Upgrade West Plains Network
June 8, 2020 – West Plains, MO – Fidelity Communications began construction this month on a $2.5 million upgrade to improve its robust, fiber-rich network to West Plains customers. This project will strengthen the reliability of Fidelity's high-speed internet services and prepare its network for additional bandwidth needs.
The upgrade will add seven miles of fiber to the existing plant. Fidelity will also be replacing the existing 30 nodes in the community and adding an additional 20 nodes. These enhancements will allow Fidelity to deliver added consistency and reliability to West Plains.

Work on these upgrades is anticipated to last six months. During construction, there may be a brief series of service outages. Advance notification will be sent to customers prior to work being conducted in their area.
