Fidelity Awards $2,500 to One Room Schoolhouse for STEM Education

'Dream Bigger’ Social Media Campaign supports K-12 science, technology, engineering, and math projects

May 4, 2023 – Marshall, Texas – Fidelity Communications today announced One Room School House is a winner of its fifth annual “Dream Bigger” social media campaign, which awards $2,500 each to schools and organizations providing K-12 students with STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education.

One Room Schoolhouse teaches STEM skills via a variety of projects that include building, gardening, math workshops, science classes and life skills instruction. The Fidelity award will help provide necessary equipment and supplies.

“The Dream Bigger funding will make a huge impact for our students at One Room Schoolhouse,” said One Room educator Nicole Angeles. “Experiences like these at a young age can be so impactful for children’s future, and we are so thankful to Fidelity for enabling us to acquire technology and tools that we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to afford.”

“Fidelity is committed to giving back to the communities we serve, and we are proud to play a part in helping to develop the technological skills of our future leaders,” said Fidelity Regional General Manager, Matthew DeMuro. “We look forward to seeing what One Room Schoolhouse’s students are able to accomplish with this additional funding.”

Contestants submitted a written entry outlining how the award would be used to fund their STEM projects and how the projects benefit students, and winners were determined by public voting and will be highlighted on Fidelity’s social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.

Since 2019, Fidelity Communications and the associated Cable One family of brands have awarded nearly $120,000 through its Dream Bigger initiative.
