Fidelity Awards $5,000 to The Community Partnership

January 31, 2024 – – Rolla, Mo.– Fidelity Communications, a leading broadband communications provider, recently awarded a $5,000 grant to The Community Partnership  through company's Charitable Giving Fund.  The food bank was one of 29 nonprofits across the company’s 24-state footprint that received grants totaling more than $125,000 during the most recent award period. 

The Charitable Giving Fund, which annually awards $250,000 in grants to local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations served by the Cable One family of brands (Sparklight®, Fidelity Communications, Hargray, ValuNet Fiber and CableAmerica), concentrates support in the following priority areas:

The Community Partnership will use the grant for its Home Visiting program, which supports economically disadvantaged families who have toddlers or are expecting.

“We are very grateful to Fidelity for this $5,000 grant to help families who are struggling,” said Jean Darnell, The Community Partnership Executive Director. “Books are sometimes an unaffordable luxury for our families, and we will use the funds to provide children’s books in each home. With the generosity of the grant, we can also provide grocery gift cards since many are grappling with food insecurity. We appreciate Fidelity’s support in helping us make a difference!” 

Nonprofit organizations may apply for grants during open application periods each spring and fall. Applications for fall 2024 grants will be accepted between April 1-30, 2024.
