Fidelity Communications Awards $3,500 Grant to Maumelle Nonprofit, Arkansas Diversity Summit

February 17, 2022 – Maumelle, ARFidelity Communications, a member of the Cable One family of brands, recently awarded a $3,500 grant to Arkansas Diversity Summit through the company’s Charitable Giving Fund. Through this program, the company awarded more than $100,000 in grants during the winter of 2021 to 32 nonprofit organizations across its 24-state footprint.

Arkansas Diversity Summit, which helps underserved citizens discover their potential and support them in achieving greater social and economic justice through the power of partnerships, received the grant from Fidelity to support three additional quarterly workshops and leadership training for its Arkansas Summit on African American Males (ArSAAM).

“We have organized and hosted the ArSAAM for six years and since its inception, 1,000 participants have attended to learn from and network with professionals from higher education, financial institutions and community organizations," said Harvell Howard, Arkansas Diversity Summit Executive Director. “Through this funding, we'll be able to strengthen our ArSAAM partnerships that sustain the vision and mission of Arkansas Diversity Summit by offering three additional workshops and training. These workshops will ensure we have a strong, statewide network that supports underserved populations and communities through a collective impact that is intentional about its approach to diversity, equity and inclusion."

The Charitable Giving Fund annually awards more than $200,000 in grants to local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations served by Fidelity and the other Cable One family of brands (Sparklight®, ValuNet Fiber, and Hargray), and concentrates support in the following priority areas:

Nonprofit organizations will have the opportunity to apply for a grant during open application periods each spring and fall. Applications for spring 2022 grants will open between April 1 -30, 2022.
