Fidelity Communications Invests $3.2 Million to Upgrade Rolla Network

April 3, 2023 – Rolla, MO – Fidelity Communications will begin work this month on a $3.2 million upgrade project that will increase the reliability of its high-speed internet service, while also preparing for the future connectivity needs of the Rolla community.

“Fidelity understands that fast and reliable internet service is critical for keeping our customers connected to the things they care about,” said Sam McGill, Fidelity’s Missouri General Manager. “The needs of our residential and business customers are changing rapidly, and we are proactively working to stay ahead of those needs by investing in technological enhancements that will support them now, and well into the future.”

Work on these upgrades is expected to be complete within the year. To minimize service interruptions, Fidelity has scheduled the majority the work to be performed between midnight and 6:00 a.m. Some work may need to be performed during the day, and there may be brief, intermittent interruptions during this time.
