Fidelity’s Fiber-To-The-Home Services Now Available in Select Areas of New Haven

January 7, 2020 – New Haven, MO – Fidelity Communications is now offering new fiber-to-the-home internet, FidelityTV and home phone services in a portion of the city limits of New Haven, Missouri.  With this technology, residents will receive internet service from 50 Mbps to 1 Gbps (1000 Mbps), an app-based TV service with on-demand and replay features and an all-inclusive home phone service. 

"Our team is thrilled to begin installing fiber-to-the-home services in New Haven," said John Walburn, Fidelity Division Vice President. "Our fiber-to-the-home technology allows Fidelity to offer services similar to those found in large metropolitan areas, and positions New Haven as a tech-forward city with the capability to support next-generation technologies."

Fidelity's fiber-to-the-home service provides customers with a superior Internet experience, enabling access to speeds up to 1 Gbps (1000 Mbps). Gig speeds allow faster downloads and uploads, enhanced video, real-time gaming and uninterrupted connections in multi-device homes. This new fiber network will offer residents and businesses extra capacity to grow as new technology develops, and as an increasing number of in-home devices and business solutions require internet connectivity. 

"Fidelity construction crews and contractors are continuing to work in New Haven to complete building our fiber network," said Walburn. "It is our goal to have the city limits built by early Spring and transition all existing customers to this network before the end of the year." 

Upon completion of the fiber network build, Fidelity must remove the copper lines which power current services. Therefore, it will be necessary for all residents within the fiber-to-the-home area to move to the new fiber services before the end of 2020.
